Banknote of the year 2019 Nominations

As every year, the International Bank Note Society makes the election of the Banknote of the Year.

The International Bank Note Society (IBNS) was founded in 1961. It functions as an educational non-profit organization and in fulfillment of that purpose, its objectives are to promote, stimulate and advance the study and knowledge of banknotes worldwide and all related matters along educational, scientific and historical lines. Currently, IBNS has more than 2,000 members in more than 90 countries.

Nominations for the best banknote of the year 2019 are open until January 31, 2020. The International Bank Note Society (IBNS) holds each year the contest in which the best banknote is chosen. The mechanics for nominations indicate that any member can make a proposal, with the deadline indicated above. Once there is an official list of nominees, the members of the company will have an indicated period to vote on the best banknote of the year.
