Frequently asked questions

What periods and denominations are represented in this Honduras banknote category?

This shop’s Honduras catalog represents issues dated from 1976 through 2014. Denominations shown include 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 lempiras. The selection covers several decades and includes both individual Pick types and lettered variants. It is a catalog-based overview rather than a complete record of every Honduran banknote or denomination ever issued.

Which catalog-reference groups are notable among these Honduras banknotes?

Several Honduras Pick-reference groups recur in the catalog. The 1-lempira notes include P68, P79, P84 and P96 references, while 2-lempira examples include P61, P72, P80A, P90 and P97. Higher denominations include P63b for 5 lempiras, P70 and P99b for 10 lempiras, P93a and P95 for 20 lempiras, and P88c for 50 lempiras.

How can I identify a Honduras banknote listed in this category?

Use the denomination, stated year and Pick reference together. For example, the catalog distinguishes a 1993 2-lempira note as P72a, a 1994 issue as P72c and a 2003 2-lempira note as P80Ad. This combination is more precise than denomination alone, since multiple Honduras notes of the same face value appear under different references and dates.

What do suffix letters in references such as P72a, P72c and P84e mean for collecting?

Suffix letters distinguish cataloged variants within a broader Pick-number group. In this Honduras category, examples include P72a and P72c among 2-lempira notes, plus P84a, P84c and P84e among 1-lempira notes. Collectors should record the full reference, including its suffix, because notes sharing the same main number are listed here as separate variants. The supplied data does not specify the design or signature differences behind each suffix.

What should a buyer check before choosing a Honduras banknote from the shop?

Check the individual listing for the denomination, year, full Pick reference and stated grade. Many catalog titles identify notes as UNC, but buyers should rely on the details attached to the specific item rather than applying that grade to the whole Honduras category. Comparing references is especially important where related variants appear, such as P79A and P79b or the P80A and P84 groups.

Does the Honduras catalog include a coordinated group of 2014 denominations?

Yes. The catalog represents a consecutive Pick-reference group dated 2014: P96b for 1 lempira, P97b for 2 lempiras, P98b for 5 lempiras and P99b for 10 lempiras. This sequence may be useful to collectors organizing Honduras notes by date, denomination or catalog-reference progression. The records identify each of these notes as UNC.
