This undated Iranian 500 Rials banknote is catalogued as Pick P124b. It features black, dark brown and green printing over an orange and multicolour underprint, with a Persian carpet design incorporated into the front.

The obverse shows a Type VIII portrait of Shah Pahlavi at right, Persian calligraphic text over the watermark area at left, and a Type 3 overprint identified for this variant as black Type D with black script.
